Cry your soul out

The world full of pretensions
Glares at me,
With both her eyes open wide.
To search for you,
For the truth
For the right retina,
Is arduous enough to let my
Soul cry out loud.

Manipulation, hypocrisy, deception.
Dissimulation, politics, betrayal.
Abhorrence, anger, disentanglement.
Indifference, annoyance, and grief.
Emotions held me affixed,
Stuck inside a tornado of tears,
Maybe I expected too much
From a world full of masqueraders.
I melted too easily in the volcanic eruption,
Not the heated lava, but a lava-dome was I,
Not that I was calm, but not hysterical either.
The in-between stage is always worse,
A state of neither fire nor ice,
A state of insignificance,
Was enough to let my
Soul cry out loud.

My questions unanswered hang in my mind,
Solving the puzzle; not only accurately fitting the pieces,
But searching for them, scattered in the conscience
Is enough to perplex me and
Lose my sanity in the maze of thoughts.
It is enough to let my
Soul cry out loud.

But I don’t!
I don’t cry out a shriek,
I don’t shout a whisper.

I just lay dead on life!

I guess I am overcoming the block, this is better than the previous one, if you haven’t read that one, Great. Don’t!

About this one, I would like to say only one thing, don’t hold back, shoot out yourself.

Buona lettura!

  7. There is a lot pressing inside of you, screaming to be heard. Insignificance is only a matter of self-confidence. Self-acceptance was key for me in being able to actualize my thoughts and dreams into reality. Not that it has brought me fortune or fame but the block is removed. You have amazing talent Srishti. Don’t sell yourself short. The second stanza of this poem powerfully expressed.
